OUR SELECTION OF COARSE GRAIN FLAKES

Flakes

Our coarse grain flakes are prepared from a wide range of whole grains, including barley, millet and wheat, and also malted wheat and barley grains.

The grains are cleaned and then undergo a pearling process (as per the flakes variant). This is followed by a steam injection process to stabilise the grains. They are then hot rolled to provide the characteristic flakes shape, texture and taste, and to preserve all the grain nutrients and minerals.

Flakes are used extensively in breakfast cereals, muesli, granola bars and even in savoury snacks or as a ready to eat snacks on the go. A healthy, wholesome and versatile product, flakes are great for crafting various healthy foods/ snacks.
