OUR INCEPTION
The Barmalt origin story begins all the way back in 1967, in a rural town called Gurgaon located just outside the Indian capital of New Delhi. Now one of India’s leading and most cosmopolitan cities, Barmalt’s past is as humble as Gurgaon’s.
After producing brewer’s flakes, Barmalt made a key decision to diversify into malting to provide value addition to our clients and to diversify our product range.
The malting unit was started in 1967 in Gurgaon, with a small annual capacity of 2000 MT and a big passion for malting.
